Sooji ka halwa is a traditional Indian delicacy that we can't enjoy Ganesh Chaturthi without! Heat the ghee and semolina or sooji mixture. Heat again after adding the sugar and milk. The halwa is done when you sprinkle it with powdered cardamom and dried fruits of your choice such as cashews and almonds etc.

Recipe Of  a dry fruit modak

1. Immerse the figs in water for approximately 2 hrs.

2. Immerse dates for approximately 2 hrs as well.

3. In a food processor, combine peanuts, almonds, pistachios, walnuts, as well as cashew nuts.

4. Combine all of the nuts in a blender.

5. Place the ground nuts in a skillet and toast them well.

6. Combine chironji, sesame seeds, desiccated coconut and khus khus in a separate pan. They should be completely dry roasted.

7. In a blender, combine the dates and soaked figs.

8. Mix them to make a smooth paste.

9. In a skillet, melt the desi ghee and incorporate the fig-date paste.

10. Simmer it well before adding the apricots and raisins.

11. Stir in the ground fried fruits well. To completely integrate the dried fruits with the smooth paste, whisk them thoroughly.

12. Stir in the coconut mixture and the powdered cardamom.

13. Combine all of the components in a dense combination along with the mixture.

14. Grease a modak-shaped mould with butter or oil or ghee. To make a flawless modak, pour the ingredients into the mould.
