How To Make Chocolate Bomb
Buying them is an option, but why would you do that when making your own is so simple and enjoyable? It is an excellent present for the holidays, Valentine's Day, or just because.
A "Hot Chocolate Bomb" Is What?
Even if you do not mind bathing in chocolate, it is possible to add one to the bath water.
These are hollow chocolate balls that are generally garnished to appear like they've been filled with dried hot cocoa powder and marshmallows.
Pour hot milk more than a chocolate ball and watch it melt into the most delectable hot cocoa one can imagine.
As well as being entertaining for kids, they're fantastic to give as presents since they're magical.
Hot Chocolate Bomb Molds
These are simple to make, but you'll need a spherical silicone mould to create the chocolate shell. To ensure appropriate release, silicone is a need. A silicone muffin tray may be used to make a zig-zag bomb inside a different form.
The heart-shaped ones are not the only ones available. As long as the hollow is big enough to hold the hot cocoa, marshmallows, and sometimes even hefty peanut butter, any chocolate mould will suffice. Make sure it's silicone, so you don't shatter the chocolate when removing it from the mould.
In addition, if it does, melt the broken parts and start again! These adorable Frozen Mini Oreo Cheesecakes are a great way to use them.
Ingredients
You will use chocolate to create the actual balls. Chocolate chips, a bar, or any other smooth chocolate may be used in this recipe, but you'll need to temper it a bit to maintain the brilliant hue. Almond bark and chocolate candy melts are other excellent possibilities.
If you want to go all out, try Ghirardelli or Godiva instead of your go-to Nestle brand. Couverture is the finest chocolate for this purpose, but it is also the least costly.
This essentially transforms it into a beverage: the hot cocoa mix. You may make your hot cocoa mix or purchase it from the shop.
Adding marshmallows to your hot chocolate is a must! To ensure that the marshmallows fit comfortably within the ball, go for miniature marshmallows. Use one giant marshmallow as well. To add a bit extra color, we added peppermint flavoring.
If you do not have any sprinkles on hand, you may use a paper towel dipped in hot water to smooth down the seam. Then top it up with additional chocolate and anything else you would want!
Making Hot Chocolate Bombs: A Simple Recipe
Even though it's a relatively straightforward procedure, it does need some perseverance on your part. It will burn if you put it back into the microwave after it is virtually melted and continue stirring it. Use a freeze bowl as well. Apply melted chocolate to the silicone moulds using a pastry brush and silicone basting brush. This is the ball's interior, so do not stress about how it looks.
To set, pop it in the fridge for a few minutes. Afterward, do it all over again! Please don't be worried about the pellets being too thick; instead, focus on them being too thin. Let them cool off. Half of the hot chocolate bombs should be stuffed with marshmallows and powdered hot chocolate mix.
Enjoy your hot chocolate with flavored marshmallows, candies, and other treats. The more melted chocolate should be placed in an airtight Ziploc bag or candy piping bag, and the corner snipped. Place an empty half on top of a dipped ball of chocolate.
Run your finger along the edge or roll sticky chocolate in sprinkles to smooth the seam. Allow the seam to harden before moving on to the next step. If you would want to melt the seam, you may set it on a heated plate or on the back of a warm spoon. To serve, pour 8-10 ounces of hot milk over the hot chocolate bomb. Take care not to over-stir the mixture.
